The Limousin is a French breed of beef cattle from the Limousin and Marche regions of France. It was formerly used mainly as a draught animal. Once it's working life was done, it was then fattened for food. They're known for their golden red colour, high immune systems and consuming less that beef cattle while performing equally or superior to others. When fully matured, females average 650kgs while males average 1000kgs.
